The Double Club is an exciting initiative originally conceived at Arsenal Football Club, its aim to raise the competency and motivation levels in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT by using sport as a powerful engagement tool. The Club takes place during curriculum time providing the pupils with opportunities to learn through recent sporting events linked to Leeds United, Hunslet Hawks and Arsenal football club.

To ensure a fresh and engaging curriculum the week’s activities are prepared on Monday so they relate to the sporting events of the previous weekend. The Club also offers curriculum time sports coaching, and the opportunity to use the facilities at South Leeds Stadium as well as visiting other Stadiums and facilities. To further engage the pupils there is a heavy emphasis on ICT used throughout the curriculum leading to articles for match day programs, multimedia presentations, podcasts and web site articles.
